Regular Visitors is a new-school take on the neighborhood general store, which is to say you’ll find anything and everything you need for your home life and general well-being, from brass nails to local honey to fresh brewed coffee to independent magazines to hanging lamps. And, according to Dan Sorg, co-founder of the Smith Street shop, that is by design.

You could say Regular Visitors is a retail joint with a coffee bar. We sell everything from olive oil to toilet brushes to fashion books. We wanted to run counter to the big box store movement, to create a connection to product, to cultivate locality and to source hard-to-find international goods.

AND THE NAME…?
Yes, we actually get regular visitors! We’ve gotten lucky. People are hungry for something new, and want to be a part of a community.

WHY HERE?
It’s an awesome neighborhood. There’s a vitality that’s hard to explain. And we are right by the subway, which we liked for the coffee / newsstand element of it — and, of course, the convenience.
