Hear All That Jazz (And More) At Roulette On Atlantic Avenue

Roulette is so much more than a musical venue: It is an Artists’ Space with a mission to “support new and adventurous art in all disciplines.” What this means is that the performances you are lucky enough to catch at the decades-old institution (the original location was in Manhattan) will be anything but expected—or ordinary. Take the aptly named Vision Festival: Kicking off to-night (May 22), the six-night series is a celebration of all things jazz and improvised art. Multiple artists will be on stage each night, including (pictured, clockwise from top) Dave Burrell, Roscoe Mitchell, Andrew Cyrille, Cooper-Moore — and so many more. Whether or not you have heard of all (or even some) of these artists, there is no denying that each will have you walking away feeling inspired.
